One of the most talented, exciting and controversial riders ever to throw a leg over a motorcycle has succumbed to his demons and died.
The Go Show was excellent at putting on a show, from beating the older, more experienced guys in motocross and Supercross to bursting onto the road racing scene with spectacular rides.
He would go on to win Australian championships but wasn’t take world titles due to his party lifestyle – and in the end it was this which cut his life short.
Anthony Gobert was a one-of-a-kind, a rider who used his natural gifts to feel what the bike was doing underneath him and an instinct on how hard he could push… he burned bright but his career flamed-out and now he’s gone, but will be missed.
