The full-power Yamaha MT-07 is now available in Australia, boasting 55kW from the larger 689cc engine.
The popular learner-legal 655cc MT-07LA (for Learner Approved) will remain on sale alongside the new MT-07HO (for High Output), and now all LAMS-approved ones will come with ABS brakes.
The two models are identical except for the engine capacity, output, the lack of ABS on the HO model and a small weight difference because of the ABS.
The LAMS MT-07 has a price tag of $9599 (plus on-road costs) while the HO is only slightly dearer at $9999 (+orc).
Small, light and with strong engine torque, the LAMS MT-o7 is a delight to ride; it’s nimble and very responsive in true learner-friendly style.
That same kind of handling will make the full-power version an exciting ride for more experienced riders, all without spending big money.
The MT-07HO comes in a white colour scheme with Race Blu highlights. The LAMS model is being sold in Competition White, Matt Grey, Deep Armour and new Extreme Yellow.
