2025 DUCATI XDIAVEL V4

The Ducati XDiavel V4 sports cruiser has been revealed and it packs a stonking 168hp engine.

The new Ducati XDiavel V4 will arrive in Australia in August this year priced from $46,500 ride away.

The completely redesigned XDiavel V4 replaces the V-twin XDiavel 1260. The new machine is powered by a MotoGP-derived 1158cc V4 Granturismo engine that is claimed to make 125kW (168hp) of power and 126Nm of torque. It features a counter-rotating crankshaft which, as on the Ducati MotoGP bike, reduces the gyroscopic effect, increasing nimbleness. A cylinder deactivation system switches off the rear cylinder bank when the bike is stationary or when riding at low revs in conditions of reduced engine load.

The XDiavel V4 has a kerb weight of 229kg, which is 6kg less than the XDiavel 1260 S. Up front the new bike runs a fully adjustable 50mm USD fork while there’s a fully adjustable monoshock at the rear.

Ducati says the performance of the 168hp V4 Granturismo, combined with the 240/45 rear tyre and dedicated gear ratios, allows for a 0-100km/h time of less than three seconds.

The front braking system consists 330mm discs and Brembo Stylema calipers that are said to achieve peak deceleration values of 11.5m/s2; a value that generally characterises race bikes.

The XDiavel V4 offers three Power Modes and four Riding Modes – Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet – that allows the rider to tailor systems such as Ducati Cornering Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control and Cornering ABS.

Cruise control and an up and down quick shifter are fitted as standard, while Launch Control is said to guarantee “blazing starts” when you want to make the most of the acceleration performance available.

The rider can manage all the electronic systems via the backlit controls on the handlebars and a new 6.9-inch TFT colour screen with an 8:3 aspect ratio, first introduced on the Panigale V4. The dashboard also offers Bluetooth connectivity.

Ducati says the XDiavel V4’s bold shapes are inspired by supercars. “The muscular fuel tank captures the eye with the new and iridescent Black Lava and Burning Red colours, created specifically for the XDiavel V4, which produce fluid and elegant reflections when hit by light. The signature of the front and rear light clusters and the dynamic direction indicators integrated into the side panels, naturally full-LED, contribute to unmistakably characterising the look of the XDiavel V4. The front DRL, with its double C profile, attracts attention in a play of contrasts with the internal texturing of the headlight. Together with the rear light cluster, positioned under the tail fairing, it greets the rider with the Welcome Effect when the instrument panel is turned on, emphasising the sophistication and attention to every detail of the XDiavel.”

A single-sided aluminium swingarm provides a clear view of the deep rear wheel. The five star-shaped spokes of the rims, with machined surfaces, reinforce a reference to American muscle cars.05 - MY25_XDIAVELV4_DYN _11__UC750363_Low

A low 770mm seat height provides accessibility the and the Diavel V4’s pillion seat is claimed to be 30 per cent wider, 50 per cent longer and with more cushioning than on the XDiavel 1260. The handlebar is also set back and lowered compared to the XDiavel 1260. A rear grab handle is also supplied as standard. An optional accessory tail fairing transforms the XDiavel V4 into “a feisty” single-seater.

The Ducati Performance catalogue includes goodies such as semi-rigid 48-litre panniers, a passenger backrest, a more protective Touring screen, a Sport screen, a Comfort seat, a 15 mm lowered seat and loads of carbon parts, forged rims and coloured brake calipers.

The XDiavel V4 will be available in two metallic colours – Burning Red and Black Lava. Hit this link for more details.
