Bimota unveils KB998 Rimini

Bimota unveils KB998 Rimini at the WorldSBK opening round at Phillip Island.

Bimota Australia has unveiled the KB998 Rimini during a presentation at the Bimota/Kawasaki expo stand at Phillip Island’s WorldSBK round.

The Bimota Australia team was joined by representatives from the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team for the event.

This marks the first time the KB998 Rimini has made a public appearance since its international debut at EICMA in 2024. The street version of the 2025 WorldSBK racer is now in production, with 125 units assembled before 24 February, 2025 and an additional 125 units to be be assembled within 31 December 2025 – a total of 500 units to accomplish the FIM rules will be produced in 2026.

The KB998 Rimini is powered by a Kawasaki inline four that makes a claimed 147.1kW (200hp) at 13,600rpm and 111Nm at 11,700rpm. It tips the scales at 194kg (kerb).

Though the KB998 Rimini has been confirmed for the Australian market, pricing and local specifications will be revealed closer to the local launch date. For local dealers see the Bimota website at this link.
