Honda has taken the covers off 50th Anniversary Goldwing models.
Honda has unveiled two 50th Anniversary Goldwing models to honour the uber-tourer’s milestone.
The Goldwing platform has evolved considerably in the half-century since its introduction, but according to Honda it has always remained true to the vision of making long-distance motorcycle riding comfortable and enjoyable. The 2025 model year features the addition of wireless compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, however, most of the updates are centred on aesthetics, with distinctive colours and badges intended to mark the special occasion.
That means the 50th Anniversary models retain the Goldwing’s 1833cc horizontally opposed, liquid-cooled, six-cylinder four-stroke engine that pumps out a claimed 93kW (125hp) at 5500rpm and a stump-pulling 170Nm of torque at 4500rpm.
The engine is mated to Honda’s advanced seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the suspension system consists a double-wishbone front-end with a Showa shock absorber offering 110mm of travel and a Showa monoshock at the rear with 105mm travel.
2025 Goldwing
The Goldwing is offered for 2025 in a Matte Ballistic Black Metallic colour (above), and to commemorate the platform’s half-century milestone, it comes with several styling treatments, including bold Goldwing logos across the saddlebags and side fairings. In addition, there’s a special 50th Anniversary badge situated in front of the seat, and the seven-inch colour TFT now displays “Since 1975” when the bike is turned on. As before, the standard Goldwing has a shorter windscreen than the Touring versions, and for 2025, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can now be accessed wirelessly.
2025 Goldwing Premium
Honda’s flagship touring machine celebrates its Golden Anniversary with two new colours for 2025. The Bourdeaux Red Metallic (above) and Eternal Gold options both have subtle Goldwing logos incorporated into the saddlebags, as well as the 50th Anniversary badge in front of the seat. Honda says the Goldwing is the first and still the only motorcycle offered in an airbag version, featuring technology that operates via an acceleration sensor and main control unit.
Both of the MY25 50th Anniversary Goldwing versions will be available in Honda dealers in the second quarter of 2025, and they will come with a free coffee-table book covering the model’s rich history, as well as a commemorative model and a Goldwing giftbox. Prices TBA.
