Andy Strapz is now manufacturing a soft luggage system for Suzuki’s V-Strom 800 DE. The lightweight but strong steel frames keep saddlebags steady and located perfectly and are designed for use with throw-over bags which put the weight on the seat. The weight of the frames is only 2kg including all fittings and bolts.
The designers have carefully considered stress and impact areas, applying lessons learnt from 15 years of making support frames in Victoria.
Andy Strapz Avduro Panniers are recommended, but others could be used. This creates a luggage system weighing in at just 4kg, one of the lightest systems available, yet with 35L of space per side.
Fitted in minutes with two Allen keys (it takes longer to unwrap them than fit, some say), the frames can be removed when not travelling.
They can be used with the bag straps running over or under the seat.
The frame set is $415, Avduro Panniers $525 or as a set $995, plus freight.
